Prevent Fraudulent Voting With Facebook Profiles May 23, 2018
We recently added a feature to help fight fraudulent voting for popular surveys. You can now require participants to authorize the app before they submit the survey form. The app will store participants Facebook profile IDs and validate that each ID is unique. This effectively means that any given Facebook user will only be able to vote once.
This is especially useful for voting contests where validating participants IP addresses is not enough to prevent malicious voters from cheating the survey. It is however important to consider that forcing users to authorize the app might decrease the participation rate if some prefer not to give access to their public Facebook profile. It also won't help prevent users with fake Facebook profiles from voting. We therefore only recommend that you turn on this option if cheating is a real issue with your survey.
