Unfortunately it is not technically possible to allow participants to answer without leaving the Newsfeed. They have to first click on the post and then answer the survey from the application tab.
This is probably because the survey was published by copying and pasting the URL in the browser address bar. When a survey is published using the browser URL, mobile users (smartphone and tablet) cannot access the survey. To ensure that your survey is displayed perfectly on all devices, always publish your survey by using the "Share URL" or the tools that are available in the Publish section. Please contact us if users still have trouble accessing the survey.
It depends. If you install the survey on a Page tab, participants should not have to login to Facebook to participate. However they will need to authorize the app if they try to participate multiple times. This security measure ensures that a Facebook user cannot answer the same survey multiple times.
If you checked the option to collect names and emails from the Advanced Options menu, you will receive this info if the participant agrees to share it with you. You will also see their location (country, region and city) based on their IP address. You can access this data on the Participants page and export it to Excel. If you wish to collect other types of data about participants, you can ask for it through a question in your survey.
Our algorithm uses many different data points such as cookies, IP addresses, unique Facebook ID and email addresses to ensure that a single user does not participate repeatedly. You, as the admin, can participate as many times as you like.
By default, all survey results are private. You can make them public in the "Configuration - Advanced Options" section. Learn about the best ways to share your` survey on our blog.
