Collect Participants Names and Emails September 04, 2018
When you run a survey, all answers you collect are anonymous by default. If you need participants infos for your newsletter or because you need to contact a winner for a draw, then you must configure your survey before you launch it. Here are two different ways to set it up.
The newsletter option
In the Advanced Options of the Configuration section, you can tick the option to collect participants names and emails. You can set it to be optional or mandatory if you want all respondents to identify themselves. You can also edit the default message stating why you are requesting participants personal infos.
Here is an example of a quick survey asking participants to opt-in to the newsletter:
Adding a question to your survey
You can also collect participants names and emails by adding additional questions to your survey. In the Questions section of your survey, click the Add Question button and select "Text Box" as the question type. From the Data Type dropdown below, select "First name", "Last name" or "Email address". You can also tick the option to make the question mandatory if you need all participants to identify themselves.
And that's it! Keep in mind that the app cannot fetch any infos from respondents Facebook profiles. If you need more personal infos such as birthday, gender or age, then you will have to request these infos with questions in your survey.
